JIMMY Carr has won the inaugural Lancashire Telegraph Trophy for the best live performance at East Lancashire's first comedy festival.
The comedian was the unanimous choice of the judges for the award and he also topped the online vote from Lancashire Telegraph readers.
The You Must Be Joking Festival, held primarily at King George's Hall, Blackburn, saw over 50 performers taking part in 16 different shows.
The other nominees were Rhod Gilbert, Russell Howard, Inder Manoche and Frank Sidebottom.
