A man driving home from work had his car attacked as he stopped at traffic lights in Blackburn.
The town's magistrates heard that James Stephen Lucas kicked the car for no reason and then he thumped the windscreen so hard it cracked.
But venting his anger on the vehicle backfired on Lucas, who was recalled to prison to serve the 12 months unexpired period of a prison sentence imposed for manslaughter.
Lucas, 26, of Warbreck Drive, Blackpool, pleaded guilty to criminal damage, assaulting a police officer and being drunk and disorderly. He was sentenced to 60 days in prison to run concurrent to the sentence he has been recalled to serve.
