A CONVICTED conman involved in a near £100,000 money laundering scam is awaiting sentence at Burnley Crown Court.
Robert Barker, 57, was caught after police and a building society carried out surveillance and captured him taking money from the pensioner.
The defendant, of Manchester Road, Nelson, admitted fraud, possessing an article for use in fraud and money laundering charges totalling £91,000.
The court was told a proceeds of crime hearing was to be held over the case and Barker was said to have hidden assets, including a number of properties that may be in different names.
The defendant was remanded in custody until January 25 for a pre-sentence report.
