CAT and kitten owners are being urged to get their animals neutered. And the owner of Moggies Cat Rescue is offering the service for free.
Maureen Savage, who runs the rescue centre from her home in Stansfield Street, Darwen, has reported a rise in the number of kittens brought into her care.
She is offering owners a voucher to have the procedure carried out free, provided the animal is aged six months or over.
Maureen said: "I urge anyone with a cat or kitten to contact me to have their pets neutered for free."
She can be contacted on 01254 708171.
