POLICE have appealed for witnesses after a teenage girl was indecently assaulted on a bus.
A short man in his late teens, or early 20s, sat alongside the teenager on the bus travelling from Burnley to Nelson.
He spoke indecently to her and stroked her thigh, before slipping his hand down the back of her jeans and fondling her on December 5, on the 2pm bus from Colne.
Detectives checked CCTV footage on the bus and discovered the attacker had sat next to other women, although there was no suggestion he assaulted them.
He was seen getting off the bus in Colne and crossing the road to the bus stop on the other side.
The man is around 5ft to 5ft 2in tall, has short blond hair, and a local accent.
He was wearing a beige Parka-style jacket with dark blue trim, a blue and beige sweater, and dark trousers.
Anyone with information should contact DC Craig Smedley, of Nelson CID, on 01282 472644, or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
