TWO women were taken to hospital after a house fire in Accrington.
One woman had cuts to the arm after she smashed a glass door and the other suffered from smoke inhalation.
They were both taken to Royal Blackburn Hospital. A candle on the landing is believed to have started a fire in a house in WIllows Lane around 7.30pm on Sunday.
They were altered to the fire when smoke alarms went off. Watch manager Phil Whittaker is advising people to be careful when using candles this Christmas and is urging anyone who does not have a smoke alarm fitted to contact 0800 169 1125.
