ARTISTIC youngsters from Blackburn have won £1,000 worth of IT equipment for their school.
Pupils from Pleckgate High School Mathematics and Computing College beat over 500 other schools to be crowned winners of an art competition organised by the German pen and pencil manufacturer Staedtler.
The winning set of pictures will be printed onto Staedtler packaging, meaning the youngsters' artwork will be seen by a nationwide audience.
Pleckgate teacher Philip Thompson said: "Staedtler UK are delighted with the astonishingly creative artwork we have supplied."
The school has bought a digital camera with the prize.
