TWO teenagers have been arrested after a fight at Hameldon Community College.
They are accused of attacking a 15-year-old boy with a baseball bat.
Detectives said that 17-year-old and 16-year-old boys, both former pupils of the newly-created school in Byron Street, had been arrested on suspicion of wounding.
The 15-year-old boy was initially taken to the Royal Blackburn Hospital for treatment and is now at home recovering with his family.
The incident took place within the school grounds on Friday afternoon.
Lancashire Police spokesman said: "Police are continuing to investigate the incident, which is being treated as an isolated incident involving a small number of people.
"At this time there is no suggestion the attack was racially motivated. Police continue to work with staff at the school to make sure any outstanding issues are resolved."
