CARERS from across Ribble Valley and Hyndburn were given a well-earned break at a special event in Clitheroe.
On Wednesday, 35 carers from across the area attended the event at the Ribble Valley Council chambers organised by Carers Link.
Carers Link is a registered charity which supports those who care for a family member, friend or relative due to sickness, age or disability.
The event was designed to give the carers time out from their caring role, whilst enjoying festive crafts and relaxation activities.
Carers Link staff spent the day looking after them by serving drinks, mince pies and treats, so they could relax.
Stephanie Driver, Ribble Valley carers development worker and organiser of the event, said: "When you spend most of your time caring for someone, as these carers do, it is lovely to feel like someone is looking after you.
"It is vitally important that carers are given the opportunity to have a break to enable them to continue to care effectively."
Carers can contact Carers Link for support on 01254 387444 or 01200 444899.
