A road had to be closed for more than two hours as police dealt with an accident in which a car had crashed and flipped onto its roof.
Roman Road in Darwen, close to the Crown and Thistle Pub, was closed at 9.20pm on Saturday following a crash in which a 28-year-old woman hit a stone wall and ended up upside down in the middle of the road.
Emergency services were called but luckily the woman had suffered only minor injuries.
A spokesperson for the police said: "We were called to Roman Road close to Hoddlesden by the ambulance service at around 9.20pm.
"One vehicle had rolled over onto its roof.
"No other vehicles were involved.
"A female driver, aged 28, suffered minor injuries and was checked over by paramedics at the scene.
"The road was closed until 11.30pm so the vehicle could be recovered and debris from the dry stone wall that had been damaged could be cleared."
Blackburn with Darwen police posted the following on their social media on Saturday night: "Roman Road, Darwen is closed at the junction of Blacksnape Road, to Moorside Road, Egerton [sic Egdworth], due to a Road Traffic incident, Please avoid the area."
