Residents have been urged to lock their car doors at night after a man was spotted checking vehicles.
The incident happened after 1am on 31 January on Buncer Lane, Blackburn.
The masked man can be seen checking a vehicle and flees when it seems he is disturbed.
Police had last month urged householders in another area of Blackburn to ensure their car doors were locked and no valuables left on display.
PC Mark Perry had warned those in the Fernhurst and Oakdale estate residents.
He said: "If the offender when checking cars finds them all locked it stands to reason they will not continue to target the estate so if we can get the message out for everyone to lock their car when getting out of them these type of crimes will cease to happen."
