CLEAN-UP work is set to begin on an area of woodland as part of a scheme to improve the quality of the area.
Lancashire Wildlife Trust staff will be working with contractors on phase two of the big clean-up at Brockholes Wood, near Samlesbury, starting on Monday.
They will clear the pathways of fly-tipped rubbish, which prevents use of the woods.
The work is being funded by One Voice Neighbourhood Management scheme.
Steve Ambler, from the Wildlife Trust Productive Landscapes project, said: "We hope that when the work is completed it will make the woods easier and safer for folk to use, which will encourage more people to get out and enjoy their local countryside."
