BBC North West newsreader Gordon Burns visited Darwen to back a school safety campaign.
He visited Knott Street Community Centre to award eight-year-old Andrea Johnson, from Belthorn Primary School, a new bike after she designed the winning poster to highlight the dangers of parking in restricted areas outside schools.
More than 200 pupils from eight Darwen primary schools took part in the competition run by the Darwen Shared Neighbourhood Team.
Sgt Jon Cisco said: "Parking in restricted areas outside schools is a problem across the borough and I hope that this campaign sends a strong message out to parents about how important it is to park safely at all times.
"Most schoolchildren feel strongly about the issue and I am pleased that so many took the time to create a poster."
Andrea's poster will be displayed outside schools across Darwen from January.
Gordon Burns said: "I am delighted to support this campaign.
"Safety on roads, particularly outside schools, is so important and if this campaign helps to raise awareness of that then it will do a fantastic job."
