A DRUNK who had been threatening shop customers at 9.45am told police his name was Mickey Mouse.
Blackburn magistrates heard by that time Shoayb Patel was at his own home and he also told the officers he wouldn't come out unless they had a warrant.
Patel, 29, of Gloucester Road, Blackburn, pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly. He was fined £40 with £85 costs and £34 victim surcharge.
Parveen Akhtar, prosecuting, said police were called to a shop on Whalley New Road where two men had been threatening people. They had left carrying a bottle of vodka and were spoken to on Maple Street.
"The defendant gave the cartoon name and made the comment about a warrant," said Miss Akhtar. "He was warned about his language but continued to swear at the officers and was arrested."
Patel said he had been drinking all night and accepted he was drunk but said he didn't threaten anyone in the shop.
"I didn't think I had to say my name because I hadn't done anything wrong," he said.
