YOUNG people in Padiham will have somewhere safe and enjoyable to go to on Friday evenings when a chill out room' in the town hall re-opens this week.
The room in the town hall will be opened for youngsters aged 13 to 17 and will have music, snacks and activities taking place such as MCing.
Community Beat Manager, Simon Fetigan said: "The youngsters told us they wanted somewhere to meet up with friends rather than roaming the streets and that's what we provided for them when we joined forces with Padiham Council and Padiham Youth Centre.
"With the dark nights up on us we're re-launching the room and inviting youngsters, especially those that have never visited before, to come along and find out what's on offer.
The chill out room has got to be a better alternative to hanging around street corners on a dark, wet evening, so if you're a local teen and you want something to do and somewhere to go, come along."
The chill out room will be open on Friday and on January 11, January 25 , February 22 , March 7 and March 21. The doors open at 7.30pm and the entry fee is 50p.
