A SHOELESS motorist found to be twice the limit had put paid to a job offer as a driver, Burnley magistrates heard.
Stephen Anthony O'Callaghan, 20, had been stopped in the early hours in Burnley as he had been driving close to the central white lines in the road and then back to the kerb.
His eyes were glazed, he was not wearing shoes and he told officers he had had a bottle of Red Square.
The defendant, who was abusive to officers, told them to go and catch people who robbed homes rather than drink drivers.
Jobless O'Callaghan, of Montrose Street, Brierfield, admitted driving with excess alcohol on September 23. He was fined £200, with £40 costs and a £15 victim surcharge and banned for 16 months.
