MORE long stay car parking will be created in Pendle if councillors approve changes at a council meeting tonight.
Reviews have been carried out across the borough from June to September and the Council's scrutiny panel will decide tonight on changes.
The panel conducted a public survey, as well as taking account of the levels of usage of the car parks and are recommending more long stay car parking and more spaces should be created.
Recommendations include:.
For Colne - to introduce 2 hour disc parking on Dockray Street car park, and promote the car parks on Cross Skelton Street and Midgeley Street for long stay.
For Barnoldswick - to improve signs and white lines on Rainhall Road car park to promote its use.
For Earby - to identify where additional long stay parking could be created for people who work in the town.
For Brierfield - to make half of Tunstill Square car park long stay.
l For Barrowford - to consider creating car park spaces at Riverway and Fountain Square.
