MOUNTAIN rescue teams helped take a man to receive emergency dialysis today.
The team at Rossendale and Pendle Mountain rescue team used their specialist 4x4 ambulance to gain access to the man's home in a remote location in the district that was difficult for a normal ambulance to access.
A quick trip ensured that the man was safely transferred and on his way to hospital.
A spokesperson said: "A nice community bread and butter callout for today, not all our work involves ropes, helicopters and remote rural locations.
"We do a lot in the community, helping wherever we can."
