The Women's Institute is a national organisation with 6,800 branches nationwide and 211,000 members.
The Hoddlesden branch has approximately 50 members, young and old and has a regular programme of events throughout the year.
The first meeting of 2008 is on January 14 at 7.30pm. The meeting will include a talk by Charles Beardmore on the topic of 'Dray Horses'.
Visitors are welcome to all meetings which are held in the upper room of the Hoddlesden Conservative Club.
