A HASLINGDEN company which installs charging points for electric cars has celebrated its first year in business.
Despite the challenges that this year has posed to businesses across all different sectors, Evolution Solution has found that the rising popularity of electric and hybrid cars has presented it with the perfect opportunity to lead the way in a growth industry.
Not only that, but the company now employs six members of staff at a time when secure, quality jobs are sorely needed.
Director Darren Turner said: “When we looked at the market, we quickly realised that there was an opportunity to build a quality business, based on being an accredited installer, who could also offer Office for Low Emission Vehicles grants of up to £350 as an incentive.
“We are now celebrating our first year’s anniversary, when we have established the business and installed over 150 charging points, in homes and workplaces, setting a target to increase the installations by ten-fold in 2021.”
Electric and hybrid car owners currently have the options of charging their vehicle at home, at work or in a public facility.
Evolution Solutions will hope that the demand for public installation points will expand as more and more people take up the environmentally friendly electric car option.
This is likely to become especially prevalent considering the UK government’s policy of banning the sale of petrol and diesel cars from 2030 to encourage greener vehicle choices.
This will require more work installing charging points, which Evolution Solutions is happy to take on.
Mr Turner said: “Our aim is to make the installation experience as stress free as possible, by offering a 14-day guaranteed ‘order to installation’ process, which includes completing the OLEV paperwork.
“Once we have done the initial survey either virtual, home, or on-site, workplace, we’ll install the charging point in one day, usually within 10 meters of your electricity meter.
“As we continue to grow throughout the North West of England, our aim is to become the UK’s number one installer.”
