Love them or hate them, the Boxing Day sales are an annual tradition, and even though they may look a little different this year, it hasn't stopped some stores from offering discounts early.

As retailers seek to shift stock left unsold due to the coronavirus pandemic, prices in some shops have been slashed dramatically, but whether you're heading to the high street (for those in Tier 1, 2 and 3) or shopping online (Tier 4), Money Saving Expert Martin Lewis has come up with a list of stores starting their sales before December 26:

Asos up to 70% off

H&M up to 50% off

Kurt Geiger 50% off

Schuh up to 75% off

Zara up to 50% off

New Look up to 60% off

Ikea up to 50% off

The Money Saving Expert website also predicts that Boots, John Lewis, GAP, Amazon, Matalan, Selfridges and M&S will launch their sales this week too.

As an added extra, it's worth remembering local and independent stores may also have discounts.

In what's been a tough year for retailers everywhere, supporting local stores if they are open and you're allowed to visit them, might just help them survive into 2021, otherwise they may not be there in future.

If you can't get to a store, try searching for your favourite independent retailer online.

Martin Lewis is also reminding people that deliveries could take longer than usual as a huge demand in online shopping has led Royal Mail to warn of delays, and this is reflected on some retailers' websites too, so take expected arrival dates with a pinch of salt.

NOTE: Before buying, always consider Martin's Money Mantras. Always ask yourself: Do I need it? Can I afford it? Have I checked prices elsewhere? If the answer is no to any of those questions, then DON'T BUY IT.
