A MAN has been charged with attempted murder following an incident where two shots were fired at an address in Whalley New Road, Blackburn.
Anjum Nawaz, 25, of Columbia Place, Sheffield was arrested on Friday in connection with the incident that took place on June 18.
He appeared before Blackburn Magistrates today where he was remanded in custody.
A further man, Amjad Niwaz was arrested shortly after the incident and charged with attempted murder and will be next appearing at Preston Crown Court on December 20.
DS Paul Ryan said: "Since this incident occurred, a protracted and robust investigation has continued in order to identify any further people suspected of being connected with this serious offence.
"This has resulted in the arrest of a second man and inquiries are continuing."
