A nanny has appeared in court charged with murdering the 13-month-old baby son of two Lancashire police officers.
Isaac Rowlinson was the son of former Blackburn and Great Harwood policeman Det Insp Paul Rowlinson, who now works in Preston, and PC Lisa Rowlinson, who works in Chorley.
Linda Wise, 46, of Gaerwen, Anglesey, North Wales, was originally charged with assaulting Isaac, whose family lives in Penwortham.
But on Friday she was charged with murder following Isaac's death on July 23.
She appeared before Preston Crown Court where she was bailed and given a provisional trial date of 23 June 2008.
She will next appear at Blackburn Magistrates' Court on December 28, when the case will be formally committed to crown court.
