A man who attacked his ex-partner and later a teenager has been told he will get a community sentence.
Burnley magistrates heard Michael Bates, 30, had been given a conditional discharge for assaulting young mum Shelley Wright a week after they broke-up.
Three months later he set upon a 17- year-old girl who had been trying to tend to his niece's footballing injury.
Bates, of Hufling Lane, Burnley, admitted assault by beating and was in breach of the 18-month conditional discharge.
He was bailed to January 11 for reports. The court was told Miss Wright was at home with her son when Bates appeared on the bed next to her, wanting to know why she was not answering his calls.
