A SEX offender who did not sign on with police for his annual registration was given a 24 month conditional discharge.
Burnley Magistrates heard how Thomas Fegan, 59, of Cemetery Road, Padiham, was put on the Sex Offenders Register for 10 years after being convicted of indecently assaulting a young girl in February 2001. He had been jailed for 15 months.
Fegan had to let the police know if he moved and had to sign on annually to let them know he was still at his address.
He last went to to the police station in August 2006.
