A man climbed a roof and sat on a chimney pot for 15 minutes after police arrived to deal with a "domestic incident."
Police were called to an address in Irwell Street, Bacup, at 6am today, where a woman had received a very minor arm injury in what described as a domestic argument.
When police arrived, the man they believed to have caused the injury climbed a roof and sat on a chimney pot for 15 minutes, after which he decided to return to the ground.
A man was subsequently arrested by officers on suspicion of assault.
A police spokesman said the man on the roof had been "very stupid".
