DETECTIVES hunting a knifeman who attacked a Burnley police officer in Towneley Park last month have made a fresh appeal for information.
Police are hunting the suspect who slashed at a female police officer's arm when he was spoken to on November 7.
He was the passenger on a bike being ridden through the park and had been pulled over before he became violent.
The pair fled towards the garden centre at the park. A police dog and helicopter search was unsuccessful.
Detectives say the bike rider, a white man in his early 20s, who did not take part in the attack, should also come get into contact with police, as he is not wanted for any offence.
He was wearing a yellow and grey horizontally-striped hooded top.
Det Sgt Ian Taylor, of Burnley CID, said: "He did not threaten the officer in any way so we would urge him to come forward and assist our inquiries."
The knifeman was dressed in dark clothing and wore a baseball cap. The police officer was treated at the scene by paramedics for cuts to her arm and returned to her duties the following day.
