David Hill, 42, of Sandy Lane, Darwen, was bound over in the sum of £200 to keep the peace, especially towards his father, Jack Hill, for 12 months after admitting a breach of the peace.
The court heard Hill went to his father's house and forced the patio doors to gain entry. His dad was concerned that Hill, who has alcohol and drug problems, might become violent and called the police.
Jonathan Taylor, defending, said Hill accepted that his father had wanted him to leave and he refused. "He has spent a night in the cells as a result," said Mr Taylor.
