A MOTORIST failed a roadside drug swipe after being stopped by police.
Blackburn magistrates heard a subsequent blood test revealed that Yasar Mahmood had a level of cocaine more than six times the legal limit.
Mahmood, 30, of Turner Street, Clitheroe, pleaded guilty to drug driving. He was fined £422 with £85 costs and £42 victim surcharge and banned from driving for 14 months.
Stacey Morrow, prosecuting, said the officers who stopped Mahmood noted that his eyes were glazed and darting from side to side and he was extremely agitated.
Mahmood, who was not represented, said he apologised for breaking the law and that he had not “indulged” in any substances since his arrest in March.
