Leaders and helpers from scout groups across Darwen have got together at Whitehall Hotel as part of the movements centenary year.
On Friday 23rd November, 57 members enjoyed an evening meal, whilst watching some of the highlights of the year. This included the renewing of the Scout Promise at the Sunrise Ceremony, held at Darwen Tower on the 1st August. The renewal was done by every member of the movement Worldwide, at the beginning of the movements second century.
Several awards for long service were also presented by the acting District Commissioner Mick Grime.
The event which had been organised for the leaders by the district team.
