BURNLEY fans are being advised to set off early for tonight's clash with Leicester City.
Roadworks are being carried out in Todmorden Road near the junction with Lyndhurst Road to repair a collapsed sewer.
Traffic will not be allowed to travel down Todmorden Road towards the town centre, one of the main access routes into the town.
Police are advising motorists to take an alternative route to the game which kicks off at 7.45pm.
Match commander Insp Dave Croll said: "We were expecting the roadworks to be completed in time for tonight's match, but unfortunately that is not the case.
"I would urge people to bear that in mind and make allowance for that when travelling to the match because there will be extra congestion."
