A MICHELIN starred restaurant has closed for a fortnight due to coronavirus.
The White Swan in Fence confirmed that a member of staff had tested positive for Covid on Tuesday afternoon.
In a message to customers, the restaurant, which landed its Michelin star status in 2018, said: "We are such a small team working so closely together that it is obvious to us that we have been in close contact with someone who has tested positive, so we have taken the hard decision to close and self-isolate for 14 days.
"We are currently in the process of contacting everyone with a booking with us in the next 2 weeks to confirm this.
"We are sorry if this causes you any inconvenience, but we are sure you will understand that it is better for all if we air on the side of caution."
The restaurant added that they already have plans to reopen their doors in a 'couple of weeks' and that they will not have access to their phone system during the closure.
