PADIHAM Town Council has scooped £50,000 towards regenerating the area in a television vote.
Granada's People's Millions was offering good causes a share of £7.8m, to be judged by a public phone vote.
Elizabeth Bolton, clerk for the town council, submitted an application in May for cash to build a new metre-wide footpath running from the back of the town hall, along the River Calder, to the Bendwood Bridge, near Somerfield supermarket.
She said: "The response was fantastic."
