AN EAST LANCASHIRE finance company has recorded an impressive success story despite the harsh trading conditions wrought by the coronavirus pandemic by quadrupling staff in the past nine months.
Get Me Car Finance, which has recently moved from Blackburn to new premises in the Old Langho, has expanded its team from a start-up of just two to seven.
Previously based in the Conference Centre Officers the firm’s new home has been the base from which the newly expanded team dealt with the unprecedented pressures of 2020.
Managing director Myles Cunliffe said: “Business has been much better than we had anticipated.
“The pandemic has had a massive impact on everybody, and we have been working incredibly hard to ensure that we not only survived but have become stronger.
“Our customers have been brilliant and have shown tremendous faith in us during this extremely difficult time.”
As the name suggests, the company works to connect customers with lenders willing to finance their purchase of new or used cars.
Customers approach the company and fill in their details which the company then forwards to appropriate financiers.
Once a financier is found the customer is then able choose any UK car dealer then wish to buy from, with the team at Get Me Car Finance working to streamline the exchange between financier, car dealer and customer.
To assist with this process the company’s newly expanded team now includes a compliance officer, internal underwriter, two sales executives and an apprentice.
Mr Cunliffe said: “The number of finance agreements and car leasing deals taken out has exceeded both our forecasts and expectations.”
He added: “We hope to employ at least one more person by the end of the year.”
“If business continues to grow as we have seen, we will possibly be looking at a new site, that will allow us to hold more stock and provide a greater choice for our valued customers.”
