LANCASHIRE folk flocked to a taste of proper Lancashire food and produce at a Christmas event yesterday.
A Taste of Real Lancashire, at the Dunkenhalgh Hotel, Clayton-le-Moors boasted 65 stalls of produce, including Lancashire Tea, Shirley's Country Catering and The Real Lancashire Black Pudding Company.
Natalie Dewhurst, of the Funky Feet Stall on Blackburn Market, was one of the exhibitors at the Lancashire Telegraph-backed event.
She said: "It was fantastic. I sold quite a few pairs - it was really good.
"The food there was brilliant - there was a lady with a big pie stall and she sold every one!
"And a man selling books about Blackburn also sold lots of his books."
Janet Matisson, who works from her Darwen home selling Forever Living Products, was equally delighted with her sales of natural health products.
She said: "We had a free draw to give away some of our products. There were loads of people there.
"The atmosphere was great! It was such a good day.
"We've already got our name down for next year."
