Rossendale Climate Change Group grew out of a series of talks in 2005 around the issue of climate change and its impact on our lives.
Our aims are to raise awareness about these things and lobby for changes on both a local and national level through sharing information, discussion and education. This means using alternative sources of energy, lowering bills and making sure new developments are ecologically and environmentally friendly.
At the moment there are a number of issues we're looking at including the redevelopment of the Valley Centre in Rawtenstall, setting up another series of talks in 2008 which will be focused on local issues and starting a Transition Town. If there's anything you're particularly interested in, leave a message below.
We have regular monthly meetings and you can check out our website and get in touch using the link below. Whether or not you agree with us, you're welcome to come along to meetings and share your views or start a discussion here. You might even help save some money on your energy bills.
