A FATHER-of-three attacked his wife after she wouldn't let him watch Match Of The Day, a court was told.
Burnley Magistrates heard how Neil Howard Corless, 36, and victim Alison Corless had had a childish fall-out because she had been watching The X Factor on television and he wanted Match Of The Day on.
Mrs Corless took the fuse out of the plug.
The defendant, a self-employed courier, pushed his wife and slapped her and when police arrived they found her locked outside in her nightie, distressed.
Corless, of Coal Clough Lane, Burnley, admitted assault and was given a community order, with 12 months' supervision and 80 hours' unpaid work.
