A FORMER youth justice centre in Burnley could swell County Hall's coffers by more than £300,000.
An auction is set to take place at Manchester United's Old Trafford ground on December 6 for the disused Rokeby Centre, Colne Road.
Until recently the building served as a base for Burnley Council's youth offending team, having previously been a children's home.
But owners Lancashire County Council have declared it surplus to requirements and will sell it off.
The lower guide price indicates the property, set within a third-of-an-acre grounds, could fetch £300,000 - but bids might reach £350,000.
Rokeby was acquired by the borough council in 1970 and later transferred to the county council as a result of local government reorganisation.
Whoever buys the property must agree to maintain a stone wall and timber fence, surrounding the grounds, in return for a 900-year leasehold on the site, which also borders Queen's Road.
