A TEENAGER attacked a schoolboy in a row over poppadoms and then smashed up his own mother's home, a court heard.
Burnley magistrates were told how Paul Edward Allardice, 18, punched the 15-year-old in the face.
The defendant also wrecking his mother's house, breaking pictures, glass and furniture.
When Allardice was arrested, he said he had "only tapped," the boy but accepted he had used foul language to his mother and caused the damage. He had a lock-knife on him.
The defendant, of Lane Ends pub, Brierfield, admitted assault causing actual bodily harm, damage and possessing a knife blade or sharp pointed article in public, on October 6.
He was given 12 months' supervision with 180 hours' unpaid work and was told to pay £150 compensation.
