BLACKBURN residents are being warned about reports of a scam taking place in the Brookhouse area.
Police report that two men have been knocking on doors telling residents that due to positive coronavirus cases in the area they will be spraying and disinfecting houses that are in close proximity.
However, this is a scam and no-one will be visiting addresses from local government or local agencies offering this service.
A police spokesperson said: "Please can we ask that you speak your family and friends, particularly those that may be more vulnerable and not on social media, to advise them.
"Please report any suspicious knocking on addresses to the police."
If you have noticed any suspicious activity, contact police on 101 or 999 if it is an emergency.
