Figures released on Wednesday show at least 4,526 people in East Lancashire’s six boroughs have now contracted COVID-19.
The most recent figures show the highest number of new cases were recorded in Pendle, where 10 people returned a positive result – bringing the total there to 930.
Burnley recorded the second highest number of new cases with eight, giving the borough a new total of 636.
Five cases were reported in Blackburn with Darwen, which has seen a total of 1,860 cases.
Rossendale – where a large spike has been recorded over the last week – saw cases rise by four, giving them a total of 371.
Just three people have tested positive for the coronavirus over the latest period in Hyndburn, where there have now been a total of 493 cases.
No new cases were detected in the Ribble Valley, which has seen the lowest number of COVID-19 infections, 236.
