The man who caused outrage when he was caught on CCTV appearing to reach into his shorts and then sprinkle pubic hair onto food at a Blackburn restaurant is today pictured.
On Tuesday, it was reported how footage from Jaan’s BBQ Kitchen Restaurant and Grill, Charlotte Street in Blackburn, showed two men with a variety of curries and kebabs in front of them.
One man appeared to put his hands into his shorts twice and ‘sprinkle’ something, which is believed to be hair, onto the food.
Staff said the men then argued with them before paying just £20 of a £67 bill and leaving.
After police confirmed the incident had been reported to them but it is a civil matter, the Lancashire Telegraph is publishing the original footage. There was widespread disdain and calls from members of the public and local businesses to identify the diners in the hope to stop it happening again.
Staff at the restaurant said they were ‘disgusted’ and ‘shocked’ at the incident.

Local ward councillor Suleman Khonat said: “I have known many businesses in the area for many years. They all work hard to get where they are. It is disappointing to see someone doing anything like this. It is a horrible feeling and disgusting.
“It is not something you would expect anyone to do and is totally unacceptable.
“In the current climate a lot of businesses have gone extra mile to help the residents and some had to shut for various reasons.
“The last thing anyone wants to see is something like this especially in a food place.
“I think businesses should be aware so they know in the future.”
The incident happened last month and took place on a Thursday, as the restaurant had just opened for the day.
Despite being advised the meal would be too much for two people, they ordered a Jaan’s Mega Platter priced at £55. With drinks, the total bill came to £67.
A waitress said she had gone to check on the duo and was told the food was ‘okay’.
When it came paying, the men allegedly argued with staff claiming there was hair on the food.
The manager previously said: “When it came to paying, they said there was hair in the food. We checked and there was hair on the biryani, kebabs and the naan breads as well. At that point I thought something is a bit strange and checked the CCTV and it showed one man putting his hands under his cap and then into his shorts twice and sprinkling the contents on to the food.
“We argued for eight to 10 minutes and I told them the hair had been planted. Eventually they gave just £20 and left.”
The manager at Jaan’s added he was deeply saddened. He said: “It has not been an easy time for businesses and this was shocking. If we didn’t check the camera that day then there was no way of finding out the truth.”
