PLANET Ice’s Blackburn branch has announced it is still unable to open due to the high coronavirus infection rate in the town.
This comes despite other ice rinks around the country being able to reopen to customers from last Saturday onwards, as the Blackburn rink was.
The company had originally hoped to reopen all branches on August 1 before being forced to delay due to lingering infection concerns.
With other branches now open, the Blackburn ice rink, which serves as a venue for ice skating, birthday parties says that they will issue a further update next Saturday.
The Lower Audley Street centre is the only branch of Planet Ice in East Lancashire.
However, the company’s booking system for its other 13 outlets around the country has however been opened and can be found at https://iceaccount.co.uk/ice-skating/.
