YOUNG ambulance cadets in the Burnley area have been getting on the right wavelength to save lives.
Members of the Burnley detachment of St John's Ambulance are in training for the service's Grand Prior Award, the highest accolade in the brigade.
And to assist them in their efforts they underwent training by Harry Golding, the county radio communications officer for St John's, and Pennine area trainer Karen Ingham.
Stuart Taylor, officer-in-charge of the Burnley cadets, said: "The cadets had great fun, learning all about the new radio systems."
Cadet hopefuls who wish to join the Burnley team, aged from 10 to 18, can contact the unit on 01282 456321.
