A WIND turbine has been put up ahead of the launch of Blackburn Enterprise Centre.
MP Jack Straw is to open the eco-friendly 'enterprise haven' at the centre on Accrington Road on Friday.
Local and renewable materials were used to make the conference and meeting centre, which offers tenants office space and business support services as well as free mentoring.
Blackburn with Darwen Council commissioned the centre as part of a £23 million package of business support for companies across East Lancashire.
Other havens' proposed for the next three years include Ewood Park, Turf Moor, West Accrington and Whitefield in Pendle.
Coun Alan Cottam, the council's executive member for regeneration said: "I am looking forward to watching its success unfold during the next few months."
