A FURTHER ten people have tested positive for the coronavirus across Blackburn with Darwen, the latest figures have shown.
There are now 1,187 active cases in the borough – which has been revealed as the place in England with the highest infection rate.
In Hyndburn, eight new cases were announced, bringing the total number of cases in the borough to 346.
There were also eight cases in Pendle over the last 24-hours, which now has a total of 522 cases.
One new case was reported in Burnley which has 459 active cases.
No new reports were made by the Ribble Valley (196 cases) or Rossendale (290 cases.)
