AN arrest has been made in connection with "large groups of youths" from Chorley and surrounding areas being involved in anti-social behaviour.
Police announced this evening, Sunday, that a person – whose age has not been disclosed – has been taken into custody for questioning.
The arrest comes following the end of a 48-hour dispersal order in Horwich, which was called after groups of youths from the town and Chorley were reportedly fighting together.
A police spokesman said: "After recent incidents in Chorley, involving large groups of youths from Chorley and other local areas, one arrest has been made and further enquiries are ongoing in relation to these incidents.
"We will continue to target any groups involved in this level of anti-social behaviour."
