THE number of new coronavirus cases across Lancashire has once again grown – with a further 31 people testing positive.
Eighteen new cases in Blackburn with Darwen were announced on Sunday, bringing the total number of people with COVID-19 in the area to 1,187 or a rate of 797 per 100,000 of the population.
This means that over the last three days, at least 81 new cases have been announced in the borough.
Over in Pendle a further six people have caught the virus, bringing the total there to 516, or an infection rate of 564.5 per 100,000 people.
In both Burnley and Hyndburn three new cases were announced, giving the borough a new total of 458 and 338 active cases respectively.
Rossendale announced a new total of 290 active cases – one of which is new in the last 24-hours, while the Ribble Valley once again recorded no new cases, leaving the number there on 196.
