Lancashire Constabulary assembled all its new patrol cars at its base at Hutton near Preston in 1968.
In total 175 ‘panda’ cars in their distinctive pale blue and white livery were on parade, the bulk of them, if this photograph is anything to go by, were Ford Anglias with their distinctive rear windows.
