An interactive map has revealed some of the most dangerous roads in East Lancashire.
Crash Map uses police records and government data to showcase where the most serious and fatal crashes have taken place in the last ten years.
According to the data, there has been more than 2000 serious and fatal crashes in East Lancashire since 2010.
Some of the more serious incidents have occurred on Blackburn Road, Church Street, and Castle Way.
King Street in Blackburn is considered to be a more dangerous road- there has been 7 serious crashes and 1 fatal car accident since 2010.
Another infamous road in Blackburn is Barbara Castle Way. This is regarded as one of Blackburn’s busiest streets and there have been 15 serious crashes and 2 fatal crashes in the last ten years.
Blackburn Road on the A666, between Darwen and Earcroft, also makes the list. This dangerous road has seen 11 serious and 1 fatal incident in the last decade.
On Church Street in Burnley, there have been 9 serious crashes- sadly, there has also been 1 serious crash. Three serious crashes have taken place on the roundabout between Yorkshire Street and centenary way.
The A671 between Padiham and Pendle Way is also a dangerous road in the region- there have been 35 serious incidents on this road since 2010.
Clitheroe Road between Chatburn and Sabden has seen 9 serious incidents since 2010- local residents say cars regularly speed on this road.
